5 things to include in a time capsule for your child
Time flies and children grow up before you can blink. When the entire family meets on special occasions and festivals, stories of the yore are discussed and people who have passed on are sorely missed. However, memory is fickle, today you might remember something and POOF tomorrow it is gone, completely wiped out.
We thought that it would be a great idea to create a time capsule for the child once he is in his junior school and gift it when the child is in her/his late 40s. This would make an awesome heart warming gift.
5 things that we thought should be included in this capsule are;
Baby’s picture book – Just to show the child that she/he could be a part of his own growing up
Favorite toy – Whether it is Mr. Potato Head or a G.I.Joe or X men action figure; OR My first Barbie or a lego piece, anything is welcome here.
His/her favorite bed time story book – For those fond memories which your grown-up child may or may not remember
Trinket/Souvenir from childhood shared by junior school/high school best mate – memories of old best friends is always heart warming
A family-photo – At least one photo of the entire family, may be taken on a holiday or a special occasion. This may include the Grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, family dog, cat, guinea pigs, parrots etc. Family members tend to increasingly die with age and time. Your grown-up kid might want to reminisce those awesome golden days with those family members who are not with us anymore.
