Mompreneurs Bazaar – A market by moms!

Our Editor-in-Chief had a busy Friday (26^th Aug) when she was the Chief Guest for the wonderful & innovative Mompreneurs Bazaar, an endeavor to support and bring together moms and their start-ups.

This one-day event was organized by the versatile ladies of the Navi Mumbai Moms (NMM) group. This year’s event was the starting of a long tradition of moms joining hands and helping each other!

What is Navi Mumbai Moms (NMM)?

In the exact words of one of their founding members Reenu;

“When we move to a new place, there are so many things you want to know – doctors, theaters, parlous, shopping. Who better to advise you than a group of other moms? That’s how we started.

From a small group of 20 to 800+ now, the group has grown faster than I ever expected. We share news, queries, events, joys and sorrows. I’ve met some lovely ladies through this group and have made some wonderful friendships. We are like a family away from home. We try to meet up once in a while, and party too. But that’s not all.

Many among the group are stay-at-home moms looking for a chance to showcase their talents.  NMM Mompreneurs Bazaar was an effort to give these mompreneurs a fair chance and we are humbled by the response. We had no big brands behind us, no sponsors as such.  But fellow moms supported us inside out and that’s how the Mompreneurs Bazaar became such a great success.

We are now looking at adopting some social causes too. The moms of Navi Mumbai Moms have gained a lot from each other, and as a group we’d like to do our bit for the city too. We know we can!”
