Unmask your glowing skin with these DIY masks

It is said that self-help is the best help. Going to a salon to look your best is a good idea; however, if you are the type who believe in natural do-it-yourself methods, then the following tips will most definitely add bonus points to your kitty. For any make up or styling to look at its best, it is imperative that the canvas it is worked upon is flawless.

Facials are a great way to get a glowing skin, but they can make a hole in your pocket as well. You can try these make-at-home indigenous masks and feel the difference.

papaya-maskPapaya Mask

This can be used universally for all skin types. The enzymes in papaya exfoliate, repair sun damage, and diminish age spots and smooth skin. Your skin will look brighter, with a more polished finish.

Cut a slice of ripe papaya and remove the seeds and pulp. Rub the inside of the papaya peel on your cleansed face, focusing on lines around the mouth and eyes, crow’s feet, thinning temples, neck and hands. Let it dry for 15 to 20 minutes, and then rinse with tepid water.

honey-lemon-maskHoney-Lemon Mask

This is exclusively for dry skin type. It heals, moisturizes and balances the pH level of the skin.

Mix 2 Tbsp honey with 1 Tbsp lemon juice. Apply this concoction to your cleansed face and leave it on for 20 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water followed by a cool rinse.

Attention to all oily skinned people, this mask is here to eradicate your skin problems. This mask absorbs the excess oil, hydrates the skin amply and gives a matte look.

Combine 1 tbsp orange juice and 1 tbsp of fresh aloe vera gel and mix until it forms a thin smooth paste. Apply on the cleansed face carefully avoiding the eye area. Leave it on for 15 minutes and rinse it with tepid water.
