Bridalacious or Bridezilla – the choice is yours…
With the wedding season just around the corner, team ItemMom did a little brainstorming session trying to figure out how one transforms into a Bridezilla instead of the Bridalacious lady she is supposed to be!
Looking super fabulous on your wedding day is by far the most important task on the to-do list. So if your dream-wedding day includes you being in awesome shape, then include fitness on your wedding checklist. Getting in shape doesn’t have to be complicated but it does require a stipulated amount of time.
- Take five minutes every morning to set your intentions for the day.
- One of the most important things to remember if you are trying to lose weight is to start early.
- Be realistic with yourself and set achievable goals. Sudden desire to lose 20kgs in 2 months will lead to skipping meals or joining unhealthy fitness programs. This will not make a beautiful bride but a “bridezilla”….
- It is essential that the bride spend at least a little time educating herself on fitness. This can be achieved by either research, meeting with a nutritionist or a trainer who can offer a proper regimen tailor-made for each individual as per their body type.
- Stress is a no-no for the bride to be. It is alright to take a ‘me-time’. Body and mind needs a break, so go for a movie, a spa treatment, massages, or just take a nap. This will help you realign your goals, workouts and other important things on the checklist.
Hopefully, there is only one wedding that you will attend as the bride; so take lots of photos, and jot down what you did for the day and how the day was spent. You’ll want to look back on it because it’s such a special time in your life and maybe even if things did not go as planned you’ll be able to laugh about some day.
