So you are married and have a baby now… With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, you must be wondering what to do different today? What to do with the baby? Will we both get a leave?  I don’t want to stay up too late? Will it be ok to leave the baby with a baby sitter?

First and for most, this year Valentine’s Day falls on a Sunday…. so ‘Amen’ to that.  Now given below are few pointers that might help you narrow down to how to celebrate your Valentine Day without losing your head.

  • Baby Sitter – Talk to trustworthy people beforehand for a baby sitter. If not available or you are not comfortable about a professional sitter, request your parents or responsible friend to take care of the child for one evening. Surely, they will lend a hand so that you can have some time off.
  • Plan a Spa together – Book an appointment in a spa for a couple’s massage.
  • Brunch – Brunches always are a romantic way of stuffing your face while enjoying the company of your better half, especially if it is after a relaxing long spa.
  • Movie/Theater – Pre book a movie/theater show seats. This should be preferably a movie/show that both of you do not mind watching.
  • Dinner – If need be reserve a table at your favorite restaurant beforehand so that both of you can enjoy a quite dinner.

If you do not wish to spend a mushy day together but like to get your adventurous side on, then maybe a day long trip to a theme park or a paint ball pit would solve the purpose.

In short, plan out in advance what both of you want to do on that day and give yourself a break. Remember it is not the specialty of the day by itself but how you feel about it and want to make of it.
