Festa Italiana 2017 – Celebrating Timeless Italian Style – Parte Due

Continuing from where I left off yesterday, the event that happened in Kolkata on 20th November was a sight to reckon with. Organized by the Consulate of Italy, Kolkata, it was a Master class and a gala dinner with a variety of Italian premium wines from their idolcevino project for the guests.

festa-italiana-misb-bocconi-eventWe learnt so much about Italian education on 23rd November in the seminar that was organized in collaboration with Mumai International School of Business – Bocconi within their premises. 3 institutes (Bocconi, Intituto Europeo di Design & Instutito Marangoni) participated and gave us insights about their values and missions for each student.  Indian students have a lot to look forward to, in terms of fashion, automobile design, Art and more, once they get into any of these colleges in the span of their term. The Consulate General of Italy, Ms. Stefania Costanza , IICCI President Cesare Saccani and other eminent dignitaries graced the event with their presence and words of encouragement.

An entire day was dedicated to the splendor of Italy was organised at the Trident on the 24th of November. All the big kahunas of the Industry were present like Ms. Stefania Costanza (The Consulate General of Italy), Cesare Saccani (President IICCI), Claudio Maffioletti (Sec Gen IICCI) Rakesh Arya (Yes Bank) and such others.  We experienced a lot of high end Italian brands showcased here. For example: Lavazza, Ducati, Aprilia, Jeep, Fortune Gourmet, Instituto Marangoni, Akruti Living and so on.

The Italian wines on this day were par excellence. Remember the ‘Italics Wine Club’ I had mentioned yesterday? Well… all the gold member wineries presented their fine wines for the esteemed guests. So we got to taste Codice Citra, Marco Felluga, I feudi di Romans, iO Mazzucato, Montecappone. Ocone, IL Pollenza, Podere Italiano, Sartori Di Verona and SanMichele AI Pianoni. This ended with authentic Italian dinner and lots of networking opportunities for everybody.iicci-trident-wines
