Delicious Rajma Cutlet

 

When you want to make interesting snacks for kids during a play-over or a kids picnic, Rajma (AKA red kidney beans) cutlets can come as a rescue

Ingredients

  • 1 bowl Rajma (soaked overnight, coiled with salt and ginger)
  • Two boiled medium sized potatoes
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Haldi
  • Dhaniya powder
  • Red chilli
  • Garam masala (you can avoid if the kids are small and don’t eat spicy stuff)
  • Jeera powder
  • Ginger garlic paste
  • Bread crumbs
  • Oil

Method

Boil Rajma

Mash potato and rajma in a bowl till smooth

Add all the ingredients and mix well till a dough like consistency is formed. In case the mix if watery add bread crumbs and mix to absorb the excess water

Separate in small balls and shape them in flat patty style

To make the patty crunchy, dab them in bread crumbs

Shallow fry till they are brown

You can serve the cutlets as it is with sauce as it is. Or you can make rajma cutlet burgers by serving them in bread buns, cut a bun into half, layer with better and sauce on one side, keep the rajma patty, layer with a slice of cheese and lettuce.
