I am a 36 year old new mom to a highly energetic and incredible baby boy of 10 months and am married to the kindest man on the planet. I love cinema(all kinds), love to travel(back to India most of all), but I love me some gup shup over ginger tea and samosas very much. I am in love with Benedict Cumberbatch and my husband knows it. I am the absolute Jane Austin fan and my favorite is- not Pride and Prejudice-its Persuasion, P&P is the second most favorite. I own the DVDs. I was born and grew up in Patna, Bihar, completed all my schooling from Notre Dame Academy, Patna. I immigrated to the US in 1999 with my family right after high school so 17 years in New York City. I competed university from Queens College, majoring in history with a concentration in British history. New York is the capital of the world, the melting pot and the city that never sleeps; coming from Patna, Bihar to this city was nothing less than earth shattering cultural shock. It became easier with time and now I love this city and everything it stands for. The Tuesday morning of September 11, 2011 changed this city, it had only been a year and a half since we had been here, and it changed a lot in me. The way this city bounced back from that tragedy is a lesson I like to remember, it bounced back with the help of love, grace and energy. I am so blessed that Om, my little man, will get the chance to experience the world in this city where people from everywhere and all walks of life come together to live their story.
