4 easy DIY ways to get healthy hair!


Hair is literally our crowing glory and we would obviously want that our hair looks at its best for any and every occasion. Here are some Do-it-Yourself methods with which you can have shining and healthy hair without burning a hole in your purse for a parlor trip!



  • One teaspoon of honey
  • One glass of whole milk


  • Mix honey with the milk
  • Massage the concoction into your hair from root to tip.
  • Leave it on for 15 minutes
  • Rinse with lukewarm water and shampoo.


BEER MASK – This is a perfect cure for limp hair. Beer contains yeast which gives the voluminous look to  hair.beer_honey_egg_mask


  • Half a cup of flat beer
  • One teaspoon of virgin olive oil
  • 1 raw egg


  • Mix a half a cup of flat beer with one teaspoon of light oil, and a raw egg.
  • Apply liberally on damp hair
  • Leave it on for 15 minutes
  • Rinse with cool water.


Egg Hair Mask – Eggs are enriched with nutrients like vitamins D, B, and A to iron & protein. This mask will make your hair soft and shiny.egg_milk_lemon_olive_oil_mask



  • 1 egg (for especially long or thick hair, use 2 eggs)
  • 1 cup milk (for shoulder-length hair, use 1/4 or 1/2 cup)
  • 1 squeeze of lemon
  • 2 tbsps of olive oil
  • A plastic shower cap





  • Beat the egg
  • Add the milk and olive oil to the beaten egg mixture and mix well.
  • Add a squeeze of a lemon (this will give your scalp a refreshing feel).
  • Blend the concoction well.
  • Massage the mixture into scalp, working from the roots to the hair ends
  • Wear the shower cap (it is a very drippy concoction) let it sit for at least 15 minutes
  • Using lukewarm or cold water, thoroughly rinse the mixture out of your hair.
  • Shampoo after that

NOTE: For oily hair, use egg whites for this recipe; for dry hair, use only the egg yolk. For normal hair, use the whole egg.


This is exclusively for oily hair. Apple cider vinegar removes the built up from styling products and conditioners and strengthen the hair. It also balances hair’s pH level, kills bacteria, and works as a cure for dandruff.



  • 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar
  • Juice of an entire lemon




  • Combine the two items together and blend it thoroughly.
  • Apply generously on the scalp
  • Let it sit for 15 minutes so that the extra oil from your scalp is absorbed.
  • Rinse it with cold water.
  • Use a mild shampoo.
